A Ferrari F40, in a field in South England.
Acrylic paint on paper.
I love cars.
The Ferrari F40, launched in 1987, was the final car to be released by the company before it's founder, Enzo Ferrari, passed away in 1988. At the time it's main competitor on the market was the Porsche 959. The 959 was an incredible car, but this is more respects than not, was better. It was one of the best looking, craziest, sharpest-handling, and most responsive cars money could buy - and on that note, quite a lot of money. A hell of a lot. And it's worth ever more today.
Oh yeah, and it was fast. Very fast.
It was not only the fastest street-legal car of it's time, but the first street-legal car ever to be able to top 200mph. In 1987. Only the greatest of supercars today could possibly get near that.
It really was, and most definitely still is, a complete masterpiece. It was better than every car of the time when released, and a damn sight better than most cars of today. Even the modern Ferraris. It definitely one of, if not the best Ferrari ever, and thus it is sent into contention for the title of Greatest Car Ever Made. And I'd say it's got a pretty good chance of coming out on top. I love it.
And hopefully, this painting can be a decent enough tribute to the car that recently celebrated it's 30th birthday. Just maybe.
