The Sea

The Sea

I love you whilst at sea
Winds and wave don’t cease or end
The harbor seems to fade
Should these and more be added then
I will cry a victor's plea

Because with you, my love,
When trouble breaks my oars
Tis you remembered
Unlike the raven, but like the dove
Who brings me back to shore

A beacon set
And love to give
Should this skilled sailor come
Back in your light and to your breast
With hopeful years to come

The sea will rage
For this is known
To every sailor worth their salt
Yet my heart with you will age
And my love for you, the sea, wont overcome
